Manchester United midfielder Juan Mata is reportedly open to continuing his career in the Premier League next season.

The Spaniard will officially leave the Red Devils when his contract expires on June 30. It will end his eight-year association with the club.

Mata has been fancied to return home, but The Times claims that the 34-year-old has not ruled out staying in the English top-flight.

United are preparing for a squad rebuild this summer, and the progress has already started with the multiple free transfer exits.

Aside from Mata, Nemanja Matic, Paul Pogba, Jesse Lingard and Edinson Cavani will leave when their contracts expire on June 30.

Pogba and Matic appear set to join Juventus and Roma respectively while Cavani has been touted to pursue a fresh challenge in LaLiga.

Lingard has been linked with several Serie A clubs, but the United graduate has not ruled out the option of staying in the Premier League.

West Ham United are being touted to re-sign him following his impressive loan stint last year (nine goals and five assists from 16 games).
