Arnaud Kalimuendo had the pick of Leeds United or staying in France with Ligue 1 side Rennes, and the Paris St Germain forward has reportedly decided to stay in his homeland. The Elland Road outfit had bid 24 million euros to sign the 5 foot 9 forward, and were confident that an agreement could be reached, however Rennes stole a march on the Premier League side and are expected to announce a deal for Kalimuendo this evening.

Kalimuendo had impressed in pre-season for Paris St Germain, leaving the club's coaching team undecided on whether they should keep hold of the forward. Instead, PSG's new manager Christophe Galtier has decided to let the player depart, and thus the striker is now heading for Rennes.

PSG already have Kylian Mbappe, Neymar, Lionel Messi, Mauro Icardi in their squad, and the player sees no way of forcing his way into the Paris' starting XI, and now will seek pastures new.

Leeds are still on the move to sign a forward before the transfer window closes, with manager Jesse Marsch pushing the club's board to spend more on new faces.
