Manchester City looking to sign Ben Chilwell?
Manchester City are planning an ambitious move to sign Chelsea defender Ben Chilwell.
The Cityzens recently sanctioned a loan exit for Joao Cancelo to Bayern Munich. The German champions will have the option to buy him for €70 million.
With his exit, manager Pep Guardiola is eyeing a solid replacement and The Daily Mail claim that they could make a genuine attempt to land Chilwell from the Blues.
Chelsea have spent huge sums of money in the current transfer window and they will have to offload players in order to recoup some of the funds.
Jorginho and Conor Gallagher look likely to leave before tomorrow's transfer deadline and the Cityzens are now ready to test the Blues' resolve on Chilwell.
The England star has not played since the World Cup after his hamstring injury, but he is currently on course to make his return to first-team action again.
In his absence, Marc Cucurella and Lewis Hall have played in the left-back spot. The Blues could be tempted to part ways with Chilwell for a fee of around £50m.
