Predicted Arsenal line-up (4-3-3) vs Brighton, Kai Havertz starts
Arsenal will be eyeing a fourth straight Premier League win when they face Brighton & Hove Albion at the Amex Stadium this evening.
The Gunners are currently six points behind leaders Liverpool, who have a game in hand. They can pile the pressure on the Reds with another win.
Formation: 4-3-3
Predicted Line-up:
David Raya had a mixed performance against Brentford on New Year's Day, but he is expected to continue between the sticks for Arsenal.
In defence, there could be a couple of changes. Jurrien Timber is obviously suspended while Riccardo Calafiori could be given a breather.
Calafiori has picked up multiple short-term injuries at the club and could be replaced by Myles Lewis-Skelly in the left-back position.
Thomas Partey is expected to slot in the right-back role. William Saliba and Gabriel Magalhaes should be assured starters in central defence.
With Partey in defence, it opens up the opportunity for Declan Rice to occupy the number six role against the Seagulls on the road.
Kai Havertz could replace Mikel Merino in one of the central midfield positions. The German is expected to be accompanied by Martin Odegaard.
We don't anticipate anymore changes. Gabriel Jesus is poised to lead the line for the Gunners after six goals in the space of only four games.
Ethan Nwaneri deserves to continue on the right wing after creating two goals in midweek with quality crosses into the Brentford box.
Gabriel Martinelli is finding form at the right time. He scored a brilliant goal and should keep his place on the left side of Arsenal's attack.
Predicted Arsenal line-up (4-3-3): Raya; Partey, Saliba, Gabriel, Lewis-Skelly; Odegaard, Rice, Havertz; Nwaneri, Jesus, Martinelli.
