Preview: Arsenal vs S'land
Arsenal will look to return to the peak of the Premiership table on Sunday as they take on an improving Sunderland side. Roy Keane said earlier in the week he would "love one last battle with Arsenal" as a player, and will be looking to do his old club Man Utd a favour at the Emirates.
The Gunners, who have 19 points from seven matches, look to continue their fantastic start to the year with 11 wins in 12 games.
Eduardo, Jens Lehmann, William Gallas, Tomas Rosicky and Alex Song are all sidelined with injuries for Arsene Wenger's side. However, Abou Diaby, Gilberto and Theo Walcott are all fit and could get some game time.
Arsene Wenger is also certain to play some youngsters as he hopes to ease his selection headache.
Andy Cole (calf injury), Russell Anderson, Carlos Edwards, Kieran Richardson, Dean Whitehead and Stanislav Varga are sidelined for the Black Cats and have Dickson Etuhu returning from a ban.
Sunderland will look to add to their tally of only eight points from eight games.
Eyefootball Premiership Predictor
Arsenal 1-0 Sunderland
Don't expect Arsenal to run away with a victory here as the injuries begin to mount and Arsene Wenger is likely to reshuffle his pack. Sunderland are no pushover, but, nevertheless, Arsenal could be too strong at the Emirates and should return to the top of the Premiership. van Persie must be watched closely if Sunderland are to rescue anything in this game. Robin van Persie is having an excellent run of form and must be monitored.
Predictor result: result correct, scorer correct
