Jose Mourinho one loss away from getting sacked?
The players and staff at Manchester United believe that Jose Mourinho could be sacked if the Old Trafford side lose their next game against Burnley, the Daily Mail reports.
The possibility of the Portuguese being sacked is being discussed at the club with United on the back of two consecutive Premier League defeats against Brighton and Spurs.
According to the report, some of the players are already discussing the possibility of United appointing France legend Zinedine Zidane.
An inside source revealed the following to Sportsmail on Tuesday: ‘They are saying Jose will be gone soon. ‘Some think he’ll be out if they lose at Burnley. Others can’t see him lasting beyond September."
The source went ahead to say that the current atmosphere at Old Trafford has been experienced before, adding that it is similar to what it was like in the final days of former manager Louis van Gaal.
Zidane is favoured by the bookies to take over from Jose Mourinho, ahead of coaches like Antonio Conte, Laurent Blanc, Didier Deschamps, Mauricio Pochettino, Massimiliano Allegri, and current England coach Gareth Southgate.
