Predicted Arsenal lineup (3-4-2-1) vs Red Star Belgrade, Giroud and Walcott start

01 November 2017 - 10:26

Arsenal host Red Star Belgrade in Thursday night's Europa League game at the Emirates Stadium. The Gunners are only one of two clubs including Lazio, with a 100 percent record in the competition, and Arsene Wenger will hope to cement his side's qualification to the last 32 with a win over Belgrade.

  • Chelsea to move for former Arsenal goalkeeper?
  • Former Chelsea boss to replace Erik ten Hag at Man Utd?

  • Formation: 3-4-2-1

    Lineup:

Petr Cech is likely to retain his place between the sticks with David Ospina yet to recover from his groin problem. Calum Chambers has returned to training after a hip issue, and the Englishman could lineup alongside Mathieu Debuchy and Rob Holding in central defence.

Reiss Nelson and Ainsley Maitland-Niles have started in the right wing-back and left wing-back positions respectively in recent Europa League games, and Wenger is likely to stick with the young pair on Thursday night.

Mohamed Elneny and Francis Coquelin are probable contenders to start at the centre of the park while Jack Wilshere and Theo Walcott could feature in the attacking midfield department.

Olivier Giroud has been ever-present in the Europa League this campaign, and he will hope to add to his three goals across all competitions. The Frenchman notched an excellent overhead winner against Belgrade in the reverse fixture.

Arsenal lineup (3-4-2-1): Cech, Holding, Debuchy, Chambers, Nelson, Maitland-Niles, Elneny, Coquelin, Wilshere, Walcott, Giroud
