Lacazette and Ozil start, Predicted Arsenal lineup (4-2-3-1) vs CSKA Moscow

Arsenal will seek to make further progress in the Europa League when they entertain CSKA Moscow in the quarter-final first-leg on Thursday night. The Gunners have won their last four games across all competitions, whilst keeping three clean sheets.

  • Chelsea suffer double injury blow ahead of Villa trip
  • Mikel Arteta confirms big injury boost for Spurs clash

  • Formation: 4-2-3-1

    Lineup:

David Ospina has been the preferred shot-stopper for the European duties and this term, and he has featured in every game barring one in which he was injured. The Colombian is expected to start between the sticks on Thursday.

The defence should be more of the same from the weekend with one change possible. Hector Bellerin and Nacho Monreal should retain their full-backs positions with skipper Laurent Koscielny returning to partner Shkodran Mustafi in central defence.

Likewise, the midfield may witness a solitary change with Granit Xhaka replacing Mohamed Elneny. The Swiss will be expecting to partner Aaron Ramsey in the centre of the park.

Further forward, Henrikh Mkhitaryan and Mesut Ozil are likely to take up the wider positions with Jack Wilshere of late being the preferred pick in the attacking midfield role.

Alexandre Lacazette remains doubtful to start after only returning from a knee surgery, but we are still fancying him to get the nod over Danny Welbeck to lead the line.
