Predicted Arsenal lineup (4-3-3) vs Atletico Madrid, Ramsey and Ozil start

02 May 2018 - 18:07

Arsenal make the trip to the Wanda Metropolitano for Thursday's Europa League game against Atletico Madrid. The Gunners had to settle for a 1-1 draw in the first leg of the double-legged semi-final tie and they now find themselves with the compulsion to score in order to remain in the competition.

  • Chelsea want to sign Roggerio Nyakossi
  • Cole Palmer open to joining Man Utd
  • Formation: 4-3-3

    Lineup:

David Ospina appeared to sustain a rib injury during the weekend game versus Manchester United and this may tempt Arsene Wenger to pick Petr Cech between the sticks.

In defence, Wenger should revert to the regular combination with Hector Bellerin and Nacho Monreal in the full-back positions whilst Laurent Koscielny and Shkodran Mustafi should start in central defence.

In midfield, Granit Xhaka is a certainty to start having played more games than any Arsenal play this term. The Swiss is likely to take up the defensive midfield duties with Jack Wilshere and Aaron Ramsey playing just ahead of him in a three-man combination.

Further forward, Mesut Ozil and Henrikh Mkhitaryan are very likely to flank Alexandre Lacazette, who is certain to lead the line with Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang ineligible to participate.
