Aubameyang and Lacazette start, Predicted Arsenal lineup (3-4-1-2) to face Chelsea

Arsenal take on London rivals Chelsea in the final of the Europa League on Wednesday night. The Gunners failed to secure a top-four finish in the Premier League earlier this month and they are now dependent on winning the midweek final in order to seal a Champions League berth next season.

  • Arsenal make surprise decision on Viktor Gyokeres
  • Arsenal to battle Napoli to sign Alexsandro Ribeiro?

  • Formation: 3-4-1-2

    Predicted Lineup:

Petr Cech has been the regular choice for the Cup and European competitions this term and he is expected to feature between the sticks ahead of Bernd Leno. The match will be the veteran's final appearance before stepping down from the game.

In the backline, Unai Emery is likely to stick with a three-man central defence which has been the case during the knockout stages of the Europa League. Laurent Koscielny, Sokratis and Nacho Monreal seems the likelier choices to feature from the off.

At right wing-back, Ainsley Maitland-Niles remains an undisputed choice with Carl Jenkinson and Stephan Lichtsteiner failing to impress while Hector Bellerin is still on the sidelines. On the opposite end, Sead Kolasinac should get the nod after recovering from a minor knee injury.

In the centre of the park, Granit Xhaka and Lucas Torreira remains the best options available to the manager's disposal. Emery has the choice to feature a three-man midfield with Matteo Guendouzi available but he is likely to stick with the regular two-man partnership.

Further forward, the frontline should remain the same from recent games with Mesut Ozil in the number 10 role while Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang should partner Alexandre Lacazette upfront. The duo have been in sublime form and have netted the past eight goals for the club in the Europa League.
