Chelsea will entertain Aston Villa in tonight's Premier League clash at Stamford Bridge. The Blues have lost the last two league games but they will be hoping to return to winning ways against the Villains, who don't have the best of records on the road with just four points from seven games.

  • Chelsea defender set to miss Man City clash
  • London club want to sign Chelsea defender

  • Formation: 4-2-3-1

    Predicted Lineup:

Kepa Arrizabalaga will certainly start between the sticks. The Spaniard has been culpable to some poor mistakes in his distribution but he has made up for the same with crucial saves.

In the defence, both Reece James and Emerson may drop to the bench as part of the rotation. Cesar Azpilicueta and Marcos Alonso are likely to take their places in the right and left-back roles.

At the heart of the backline, Kurt Zouma could be benched in the place of Andreas Christensen. The Dane will mostly partner Fikayo Tomori' who has been the standout defender for the Blues this season.

Further forward, Lampard is unlikely to opt for three central midfielders and one of Jorginho, Mateo Kovacic and N'Golo Kante won't feature. It could be Kovacic making way for Kante, who started the previous game on the bench.

In the attack, Willian and Tammy Abraham should return to the mix for the right wing and striker roles respectively. Christian Pulisic may slot into the number 10 position in order for Callum Hudson-Odoi to occupy the left-wing spot.

Mason Mount has started in all but one league game for the Blues this season but his recent dip in form could offer Hudson-Odoi with the chance to re-establish himself in the starting lineup.

Predicted Chelsea XI vs Aston Villa (4-2-3-1): Arrizabalaga, Azpilicueta, Christensen, Tomori, Alonso; Kante, Jorginho; Hudson-Odoi, Willian, Abraham, Pulisic.
