Predicted Chelsea line-up (3-4-3) vs Man Utd, Aubameyang starts

22 October 2022 - 15:31

Chelsea will be aiming to return to winning ways when they entertain Manchester United in the Premier League this evening.

  • Chelsea midfielder looking forward to London derby vs Spurs
  • Arsenal in the front row to sign Dutch striker

  • The Blues are currently seven points adrift of league leaders Arsenal and have the chance to put the pressure on them with another victory.

    Predicted Line-up:

Kepa Arrizabalaga has been in splendid form since taking over the gloves from Edouard Mendy last month. The Spaniard was handed his chance after an injury to the Senegalese and has not put a foot wrong ever since.

The back three should see one change from midweek with Cesar Azpilicueta dropping to the bench for the return of Thiago Silva. Ruben Loftus-Cheek looks set to continue at right wing-back, but Ben Chilwell could come in for Marc Cucurella on the other end after being rested versus Brentford.

Conor Gallagher fell sick against the Bees and was substituted early. He is fit for selection once again, but Graham Potter may go with the experienced pairing of Jorginho and Mateo Kovacic at the heart of the Blues midfield.

In attack, Potter should not gamble with his selection. Mason Mount, who has six goals and assists in the last four games, should be a confirmed starter alongside Raheem Sterling and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.

Predicted Chelsea line-up (3-4-3): Arrizabalaga; Chalobah, Silva, Koulibaly; Loftus-Cheek, Kovacic, Jorginho, Chilwell; Mount, Aubameyang, Sterling.
