Predicted Arsenal line-up (4-2-3-1) vs West Ham, Merino starts

30 November 2024 - 09:21

Arsenal take on West Ham United in today's Premier League derby at the London Stadium.

  • Arsenal make surprise decision on Viktor Gyokeres
  • Arsenal to battle Napoli to sign Alexsandro Ribeiro?

  • The Gunners are on a two-match winning run and will be aiming to continue the streak against the Hammers.

    Formation: 4-2-3-1

    Predicted Line-up:

David Raya has been an assured starter in goal and his form has been brilliant with several outstanding saves. He is expected to keep his spot.

The defence could remain unchanged for the third game running. Jurrien Timber and Riccardo Calafiori should line up in the full-back roles with William Saliba partnering Gabriel Magalhaes in central defence.

Gabriel picked up an injury against Sporting Lisbon in midweek, but he is expected to recover in time for the encounter. The midfield could see a single change with Mikel Merino replacing Thomas Partey.

Partey has been one of the club's top performers this campaign, but he has a long injury record. Mikel Arteta needs to be cautious with him. Declan Rice could start as the holding midfielder with Merino higher up.

The rest of the team should stay the same. Martin Odegaard is primed to start in the number 10 role with Bukayo Saka and Gabriel Martinelli on the wings. Kai Havertz is set to lead the attack for the Gunners.

Predicted Arsenal line-up (4-2-3-1) vs West Ham: Raya; Timber, Saliba, Gabriel, Calafiori; Merino, Rice; Saka, Odegaard, Martinelli; Havertz.
