Lucas Perez to quit Arsenal in the summer
Spanish forward Lucas Perez is prepared to call quits on his Arsenal career at the end of the season.
The 28-year-old joined the Gunners from Deportivo La Coruna last summer with a view to breaking into the starting lineup ahead of Olivier Giroud.
However, things have not gone his way since with Arsene Wenger preferring to play Alexis Sanchez upfront whilst injuries have also played a part in his struggles.
Perez currently has stiff competition from the likes of Alex Iwobi, Theo Walcott and Danny Welbeck for a position out wide, and according to Goal.com, he may have to move elsewhere in order to realise his dream of a Spain call-up.
The forward is said to have the ambition of representing Spain at the 2018 World Cup, and this will most probably urge him to push for a Gunners exit in the summer.
Both Southampton and Everton are keeping tabs on the player's situation with the latter having previously failed with a transfer approach in August 2016.
