Everton plan massive £75 million spending spree
Everton are planning to have a massive £75 million spending spree to replace the outgoing Romelu Lukaku and Ross Barkley
Ronald Koeman has already been given the green light to buy Malaga forward Sandro Ramirez and Ajax captain Davy Klaassen for a combined total of £25 million after personally scouting the two players. However, Koeman looks set to bring in more players, which could see his summer spending rise to £75 million.
Las Palmas defender Mauricio Lemos is next on Koeman's list, according to The Guardian. The young Uruguayan defender impressed Everton scouts and they strongly considering bringing him to Goodison Park. The 21-year-old Lemos has already represented his country at u-21 and u-23 levels but rules regarding a work permit might prove to be a stumbling block for a proposed £18 million move.
Burnley duo Michael Keane and Andre Gray are also on Koeman's radar. He will reportedly bid around the region of £25 million for the defender to fend off strong interest from Liverpool and former club Manchester United. With Andre Gray having only a year left on his contract, Burnely might also choose to cash in on the striker.
The Toffees will also look at Swansea City talisman Gylfi Sigurdsson to replace Ross Barkley and will bid around £20 million for the Icelandic international.
Romelu Lukaku and Ross Barkley are both poised to leave Everton this summer and Koeman will look to cash in on both players to fund his massive summer spending spree.
