Predicted Liverpool lineup (4-3-3) vs Spartak Moscow, Coutinho and Mane start

Liverpool's strongest lineup to face Spartak Moscow

Liverpool will be looking to secure their first win of the Champions League campaign when they make the 2000-mile trip to Russia to face Spartak Moscow. The Reds were on a four-match winless run until last weekend when they grabbed a hard-fought 3-2 league victory over Leicester City at the King Power Stadium.

Formation: 4-3-3

Lineup:

Loris Karius is likely to retain his spot as the Champions League goalkeeper ahead of Simon Mignolet despite the Belgian's heroics at Leicester. Trent Alexander-Arnold will start on the right side of the backline with Joe Gomez under a one-match European ban (red card against Sevilla) whilst Alberto Moreno could get the nod in the opposite direction. Joel Matip has recovered from his fitness issues and the Cameroonian will lineup alongside Dejan Lovren at the heart of the backline.

Moving onto the midfield, there could be starts for Jordan Henderson and Emre Can, thus leaving Georginio Wijnaldum on the bench. Philippe Coutinho is likely to play alongside the pair in a slightly advanced role. Mohamed Salah and Sadio Mane have shone in the wider positions this term, and they are certain to keep their places with the latter fresh due to his three-match domestic suspension.

Klopp is likely to pick between Roberto Firmino and Daniel Sturridge for the centre-forward role, and the manager is likely to go with the former as he has regularly done since the start of the season.
