Jurgen Klopp makes transfer decision on Timo Werner
Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has no plans of pursuing RB Leipzig striker Timo Werner at the end of the current season.
The Germany international has been linked with a club-record move to the Merseyside outfit after contributing 18 goals for Leipzig in all competitions this term.
Klopp has been dependent on Roberto Firmino to lead the line on most occasions for the Reds, and according to The Liverpool Echo, the German is content with the current options at the club.
Hence, the 50-year-old has not given the green light to pursue a £87.5m move for Werner, and the likes of Danny Ings and Dominic Solanke are likely to continue to play the backup role for the centre-back position next term.
Daniel Sturridge and Divock Origi are due to return from their respective loan spells at West Bromwich Albion and Wolfsburg during the summer, and there is a suggestion that the pair could be sold off.
