John Stones set for Everton return?
Everton will reportedly be offered the opportunity to re-sign John Stones from Manchester City when the transfer window reopens this summer.
The centre-back has made only 12 appearances for the Cityzens in the Premier League this term and he has not made the matchday squad since the restart.
Stones is presently regarded as the fourth-choice centre-back behind the likes of Aymeric Laporte, Nicolas Otamendi and Fernandinho and it appears that his career with the Cityzens is nearing an end.
According to Football Insider, Guardiola will aim to reshuffle the central defensive options this summer and Stones is one of those expected to head through the exit door.
The Toffees have been offered an opportunity to sign their former graduate but will face competition from the likes of Arsenal and Newcastle United at the end of the season.
Gunners boss Mikel Arteta remains a huge admirer of Stones. Earlier in January, it was reported that the north London side were interested in a loan move for the England international.
