Predicted Liverpool lineup (4-3-3) vs Newcastle United, Williams and Mane start
Liverpool will be aiming to return to winning ways when they face Newcastle United in the final Premier League clash of 2020.
The Reds are presently top of the standings with a two-point lead over Manchester United and have the chance to extend the gap at St James' Park.
Formation: 4-3-3
Predicted Lineup:
Alisson Becker has been the first-choice goalkeeper when fit and available. He is expected to start between the sticks against the Magpies.
In the backline, there should be an enforced change with Joel Matip set to miss the game with an adductor problem. In his place, Rhys Williams should come into the central defence.
There could be the solitary change in the midfield. Curtis Jones could drop to the bench with Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain replacing him. The England international is in line to make his first start of the campaign.
Further forward, no changes are likely. Mohamed Salah and Sadio Mane should start in their customary right and left wing positions respectively with Roberto Firmino leading the line.
Predicted Liverpool lineup: Alisson; Trent Alexander-Arnold, Fabinho, Rhys Williams, Andy Robertson; Jordan Henderson, Georginio Wijnaldum, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain; Mohamed Salah, Roberto Firmino, Sadio Mane
