Arteta is expected to ring in the changes for the League Cup tie. He is expected to rest Partey, Tierney as well as several other key players.
Bernd Leno, Rob Holding, Pablo Mari, Albert Sambi Lokonga, Ainsley Maitland-Niles and Alexandre Lacazette are expected to feature in midweek.
There could also be starts for Cedric Soares, Nuno Tavares, Eddie Nketiah and Gabriel Martinelli, who was an unused substitute at Burnley.
