Predicted Chelsea lineup (4-3-3) to face Tottenham Hotspur, Hazard and Hudson-Odoi start

26 February 2019 - 16:59

Chelsea have the opportunity to return to winning ways when they host Tottenham Hotspur in the Premier League on Wednesday night.

  • Chelsea eyeing part-exchange deal to sign Osimhen
  • Chelsea & Arsenal handed blow in Bundesliga striker pursuit

  • The Blues are currently three points behind Arsenal in the top-four race but they do have a game in hand over their London counterparts.

    Formation: 4-3-3

    Predicted Lineup:

Kepa Arrizabalaga was the subject of criticism from a section of the fans last weekend following his needless altercation with Maurizio Sarri where he refused to be substituted. However, the Spaniard may still start the game between the sticks with the club likely to forgive him after fining one week wages.

In the defence, Antonio Rudiger and David Luiz should continue at the heart of the backline for the key London derby but there could be a change in the full-back spots. Cesar Azpilicueta should feature at right-back, though Emerson may make way for Marcos Alonso in the opposite end.

Sarri made the decision to play Jorginho and N'Golo Kante in a deeper roleĀ  and that worked wonders against the Citizens over the weekend. The Italian may stick with the same formation, though Mateo Kovacic may replace Ross Barkley for the other midfield slot.

Upfront, Eden Hazard should assure himself of the role on the left side of the defence while we are anticipating a maiden league start for Hudson-Odoi in the opposite flank. Gonzalo Higuain should lead the line after only making a late appearance in the League Cup final defeat.
