Predicted Arsenal lineup (4-2-3-1) to face Manchester United, Ramsey and Lacazette start

09 March 2019 - 19:09

Arsenal have the opportunity to return to winning ways when they entertain fierce rivals Manchester United in the Premier League tomorrow.

  • Mikel Arteta insists 27yo star won't be leaving Arsenal
  • Omari Hutchinson wants to continue at Ipswich Town

  • The Gunners are currently outside of the Champions League places, but they can enhance their qualification hopes by overcoming the Red Devils, who are holding theĀ fourth spot with a one-point advantage.

    Formation: 4-2-3-1

    Predicted Lineup:

Bernd Leno has been the undisputed choice when it comes to the league games since October and he should return between the sticks after the midweek European defeat at Rennes.

In the defence, Laurent Koscielny and Sokratis are likely to feature at the heart of the backline and they could be accompanied by Shkodran Mustafi and Sead Kolasinac in the right and left-back positions respectively.

Nacho Monreal has recently commanded the left-back role ahead of Kolasinac but the Spaniard could be dropped to the bench after being guilty for two of the three goals conceded at Rennes.

In the midfield, Granit Xhaka is a certain starter for the game and he should be accompanied by Frenchman Matteo Guendouzi, given Lucas Torreira will begin his three-match domestic suspension following the straight red card against Tottenham last weekend.

In the attack front, Alex Iwobi and Henrikh Mkhitaryan should retain their positions on the right and left wing respectively on the basis of the recent form and the duo could be partnered by Aaron Ramsey in the number 10 role. The Welshman has been a regular pick for the big games this term.

Upfront, Alexandre Lacazette should lead the line on his own with Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang likely to remain on the bench for the second-straight game. Aubameyang has looked short of form since February with just one goal compared to Lacazette's three with an assist.
