Predicted Liverpool lineup (4-3-3) to face Barcelona, Origi and Mane start

Liverpool are scheduled to host Barcelona during the second leg of their Champions League semi-final tie on Tuesday night.

  • Chelsea join Liverpool & Man Utd in race to sign 26yo
  • Barcelona identify Arsenal midfielder as key transfer target

  • The Reds are currently trailing by a 3-0 scoreline after the first leg and they face a stiff challenge of overcoming the deficit with both Mohamed Salah and Roberto Firmino unavailable.

    Formation: 4-3-3

    Predicted Lineup:

Alisson Becker has been the constant for the Reds in goal for the Premier League and European duties. He is expected to feature between the sticks against Barcelona.

In the defence, Klopp may consider a solitary change from the first leg with Trent Alexander-Arnold replacing Joe Gomez in the right-back spot. Other than that, Virgil van Dijk and Joel Matip should feature at the heart of the defence with Andrew Robertson in his regular left-back role.

In the midfield, Fabinho has pretty much cemented his spot in the holding role and he is expected to continue with the same. Ahead of him, Georginio Wijnaldum seems a certainty and he could be partnered by skipper Jordan Henderson, who was restricted to a bench role at the Camp Nou.

In the attack front, Salah and Firmino remain absent due to concussional and muscular problems respectively. In this case, Divock Origi appears certain to lead the line after match-winner against Newcastle United last weekend while Xherdan Shaqiri should come into the mix to partner Sadio Mane on the flanks after contributing the assist leading to Origi's clincher.
