Predicted Chelsea lineup (3-4-2-1) vs AS Roma, Hazard and Morata start

How Chelsea could lineup against AS Roma

Chelsea will look to return to winning ways when they host AS Roma in the Champions League on Wednesday night. The Blues come into the game on the back of successive defeats to Manchester City and Crystal Palace, and Antonio Conte will hope to regain the momentum versus the Giallorossi.

The reigning champions have already secured wins over Qarabag and Atletico Madrid in Europe this season, and victories in the doubleheader over Roma would most probably seal their spot in the Champions League knockouts.

Lineup (3-4-2-1):

Thibaut Courtois has been ever-present in League and Europe this term, and he is a definite starter versus Roma. Conte could stick with his regular backline with Cesar Azpilicueta, David Luiz and Gary Cahill occupying the central defensive positions.

Marcos Alonso is certain to retain his spot at left wing-back whilst Davide Zappacosta will replace the injured Victor Moses at right wing-back. N'Golo Kante is likely to miss the remainder of the month with a muscle problem, and his absence will most certainly see Cesc Fabregas partner Tiemoue Bakayoko at the heart of the midfield.

Moving forward, Michy Batshuayi and Willian underperformed in the surprise defeat at Selhurst Park, and the pair could be replaced by Alvaro Morata and Pedro respectively. Morata has recently returned to training following his hamstring problem, and he looks likely to lead the line with Eden Hazard and Pedro supporting behind him.

Chelsea lineup (3-4-2-1): Courtois, Azpilicueta, Cahill, Luiz, Zappacosta, Alonso, Fabregas, Bakayoko, Pedro, Hazard, Morata
