Predicted Liverpool lineup (4-3-3) to face Maribor, Daniel Sturridge and Mohamed Salah start

Liverpool play host to Slovenian outfit Maribor in their fourth game of the Champions League group stage.

The Reds romped to a comfortable 7-0 victory away at Maribor in mid-October, and Jurgen Klopp will be hoping for a similar performance in order to maintain the slender lead at the top of Group E. The Merseysiders only lead second-placed Spartak Moscow on goal difference whilst Sevilla are one point behind them in third place.

Lineup:

Loris Karius has been the first-choice shot-stopper for the Champions League duties, and he is likely to start for the fourth game on the trot.

Dejan Lovren suffered a minor thigh injury in the warm-up to the Huddersfield game last weekend, and this could potentially see Ragnar Klavan partner Joel Matip in central defence once more.

Joe Gomez is another fitness concern in the backline, and Trent Alexander-Arnold is likely to take up the right-back spot with Alberto Moreno in the opposite direction.

With the importance of the result, Klopp is unlikely to make unnecessary changes in the midfield. Emre Can, Jordan Henderson and Georginio Wijnaldum could keep their places in the centre of the park.

Further forward, both Philippe Coutinho and Roberto Firmino remain doubts with an adductor issue and cramp respectively - which makes Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and Daniel Sturridge likely contenders to start.

The Ox could earn his maiden Champions League start for Liverpool on the left wing with Mohamed Salah on the right, whilst Sturridge could lead the line.
