Predicted Chelsea lineup (4-3-3) vs Derby County, Giroud and Fabregas start
Chelsea will be aiming to continue their 14-match unbeaten run across all competitions when they entertain Frank Lampard's Derby County at Stamford Bridge on Wednesday night.
Formation: 4-3-3
Predicted Lineup:
Blues' deputy goalkeeper Willy Caballero has only featured in the League Cup for the club this campaign and he should reclaim his position for the visit of Derby.
In defence, an overhaul is expected from the Premier League fixture last weekend and this should witness Cup regulars David Zappacosta, Gary Cahill, Andreas Christensen and Emerson make up the backline.
Likewise, N'Golo Kante, Jorginho and Ross Barkley should at most feature from the bench and in their places, Ruben Loftus-Cheek, Cesc Fabregas and Mateo Kovacic are likely to earn some much-needed gametime from the XI.
Further forward, Willian should reclaim his position ahead of Pedro, who complained of a stomach pain at Burnley and he could be accompanied by young graduate Callum Hudson-Odoi.
Hudson-Odoi, who has yet to make a competitive start for the Blues, should feature on the left wing with Willian on the right while Olivier Giroud is a likely candidate to lead the line on his own.
Eden Hazard has missed the previous two matches with a back problem and Sarri may not want to risk the Belgian for the Cup game with key fixtures ahead for the Blues.
