Predicted Liverpool lineup to face Chelsea

Liverpool will be aiming to maintain their pursuit of the Premier League crown when they host Chelsea at Anfield on Sunday. The Reds are currently two points ahead of Manchester City at the top of the standings but they have played an extra game more.

Formation: 4-3-3

Predicted Lineup:

Alisson Becker has been the undisputed choice in goal for the Reds this term and he is certain to start between the sticks once more. The Brazilian will be eyeing his first clean sheet in five league games.

In the defence, Jurgen Klopp should prefer the normal combination with Joel Matip and Andrew Robertson returning to the mix following the midweek Champions League clash against Porto.

Trent Alexander-Arnold and Robertson will slot into the right and left side of the defence as usual with Virgil Van Dijk and Matip occupying the heart of the backline.

In the midfield, skipper Jordan Henderson is certain to feature in the holding role and he could be accompanied by Georginio Wijnaldum and Naby Keita. The latter has been in bright form of late with goals in back-to-back games.

In the attack front, the Reds boss should stick with the regular trident of Sadio Mane, Mohamed Salah and Roberto Firmino. Mane missed training in the lead-up to the game but Klopp has given the green light for him to start.
