Newcastle United enter talks to sign Arsenal striker
Newcastle United have entered negotiations with Arsenal over Eddie Nketiah, according to The Telegraph.
The 22-year-old has played sparingly for the Gunners this season, and he looks set to leave the club soon.
It was initially predicted that Nketiah could run down his contract expiring in June before pursuing a new challenge.
However, according to The Telegraph, the Gunners are now considering his sale after an approach from Newcastle.
Nketiah is open to pursuing a fresh challenge away from the north London giants as he is desperate for regular minutes.
Aside from Nketiah, former club captain Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang could be shown the exit door before Monday's deadline.
This would leave the Gunners with just one recognised striker in Alexandre Lacazette unless they pursue a winter signing.
Everton's Dominic Calvert Lewin and Real Sociedad's Alexander Isak are among players the Gunners could consider.
The club were earlier interested in Dusan Vlahovic, but the Serbia international has rejected them to join Juventus.
