Chelsea face Liverpool in the Carabao Cup final on Sunday. The Blues are aiming to win the competition for the sixth time in their history.

  • The west London giants are currently on a six-match winning run, but the Reds are also in fine form themselves with nine straight wins in all competitions.

    Predicted Line-up:

Kepa Arrizabalaga has played every minute of the Carabao Cup campaign in goal, and should be rewarded with a final berth ahead of Premier League regular Edouard Mendy.

No changes are expected at the heart of the defence. Thomas Tuchel is likely to continue with his experienced trio of Andreas Christensen, Antonio Rudiger and Thiago Silva.

Reece James has had a couple of training sessions after his hamstring injury. He should get the nod over Cesar Azpilicueta at right wing-back.

Marcos Alonso is likely to start on the opposite end over Malang Sarr and Callum Hudson-Odoi, who are not specialists for the position.

Mateo Kovacic has overcome his back problem lately. The Croatian should partner N'Golo Kante, who had a fine game against Lille in midweek.

Tuchel may not tweak his attacking combination. Christian Pulisic bagged a goal and an assist against Lille in Tuesday's European outing.

The USA international should occupy one of the attacking midfield roles alongside Hakim Ziyech, who has netted in the last three league games.

Kai Havertz should be a confirmed starter up front ahead of Romelu Lukaku, having bagged the opening goal against Lille earlier this week.

Predicted Chelsea line-up (3-4-2-1): Arrizabalaga; Christensen, Silva, Rudiger; James, Kovacic, Kante, Alonso; Ziyech, Pulisic; Havertz.
