09 March 2024 - 15:01

Arsenal will be eyeing an eighth straight Premier League win when they welcome Brentford to the Emirates Stadium today.

  • Chelsea set £35m price to sell 20-goal striker
  • Arsenal considered favourites to sign Leipzig striker

  • The Gunners can temporarily return to the top of the table by beating the Bees. They will stay there if Liverpool and Manchester City were to share the spoils at Anfield tomorrow.

    Predicted Line-up:

Aaron Ramsdale is expected to start between the sticks with David Raya ineligible to face parent club Brentford. The England international will be eyeing his third clean sheet of the Premier League season.

In front of him, it should be the same backline from the 6-0 rout of Sheffield United. Ben White, William Saliba, Gabriel Magalhaes and Jakub Kiwior should be nailed-on starters for the derby.

Jorginho could be rested with a view to the Porto game. We anticipate Declan Rice to drop into the holding midfield role with Kai Havertz occupying the number eight position today.

Bukayo Saka is expected to start on the right wing. The same should be the case for Martin Odegaard in the number 10 spot, though Gabriel Martinelli could miss out due to a minor cut on his leg.

Leandro Trossard is a strong candidate to start from the left side of the Gunners attack. Gabriel Jesus could be tasked to lead the attack. He made his injury comeback against the Blades off the bench.

Predicted Arsenal line-up (4-2-3-1): Ramsdale; White, Saliba, Gabriel, Kiwior; Rice, Havertz; Saka, Odegaard, Trossard; Jesus.
