Predicted Liverpool lineup (4-3-3) vs Maribor, Oxlade-Chamberlain and Salah start

How Liverpool could line up against Maribor

Liverpool take on Slovenian outfit Maribor in the Champions League on Tuesday night. The Reds have made slow progress in all competitions this term, and they are presently on a run of just one victory in eight attempts. Their European campaign has begun with 2-2 and 1-1 draws with Sevilla and Spartak Moscow respectively, and Jurgen Klopp will be expecting a strong performance against Maribor, who are probably the weakest team in Group E.

Lineup:

Loris Karius has been allotted as the club's Champions League goalkeeper, and he is certain to start - barring any setback through injury. Dejan Lovren was paired alongside Joel Matip during the 0-0 draw versus Manchester United, but Klopp could give him a rest in place of Ragnar Klavan. The right-back and left-back positions could also see changes with Trent Alexander-Arnold and Andrew Robertson getting the nod over Joe Gomez and Alberto Moreno.

Onto the midfield, Jordan Henderson and Emre Can are certain of their places while Philippe Coutinho could partner them in a deeper attacking role. Mohamed Salah did not have much luck with his finishing against United, but he is likely to start on the right side of the attack. Oxlade-Chamberlain has been limited to a regular bench role this term, but he could earn his maiden Champions League start on the left wing. Roberto Firmino will probably get the nod over Daniel Sturridge upfront following his solid showing versus United.
