Predicted Chelsea XI vs BATE

Chelsea will be aiming for a third-straight win in the Europa League group stage when they entertain BATE Borisov at Stamford Bridge.

The Blues have been rather underwhelming with their performances with 1-0 wins over PAOK and Vidi but Maurizio Sarri should be expecting a much better showing when the Belarusians make the trip to west London.

Formation: 4-3-3

Predicted Lineup:

Kepa Arrizabalaga has remained the Blues' first-choice for both the Premier League and Europa League duties and he should retain his position between the sticks versus BATE.

In the defence, the Blues could witness a complete reshuffle from the weekend. Davide Zappacosta and Emerson are strong candidates to feature on the right and left side of the backline with Andreas Christensen and club-captain Gary Cahill taking up the central defensive positions.

Similarly in midfield, N'Golo Kante, Jorginho and Mateo Kovacic could drop to the bench with Cesc Fabregas, Ruben Loftus-Cheek and Ross Barkley likely contenders to make up the options in the centre of the park.

Further forward, Willian may probably keep his position from the weekend as he has yet to find his peak form which was visible during the backend of the previous campaign.

The Brazilian may start on the left wing with Pedro on the right whilst Olivier Giroud should lead the line after starting from the bench on Saturday. The Frenchman bagged a brace for Arsenal versus BATE last term.
