Predicted Liverpool XI vs Bayern

Liverpool make the trip to the Allianz Arena to face Bayern Munich in the second leg of the Champions League round of 16 stage.

The Reds failed to take advantage of the opening leg which finished goalless but they will be keen to progress on the road with away goals likely to help their cause.

Formation: 4-3-3

Predicted Lineup:

Alisson Becker has been a regular between the sticks for both the Premier League and European duties and he is an undisputed starter for the midweek clash.

Similarly, the defence should remain unchanged with Trent Alexander-Arnold and Andrew Robertson on the right and left side of the defence with Joel Matip and Virgil van Dijk making up the heart of the backline.

In the midfield, Fabinho and Georginio Wijnaldum are likely to maintain their positions but Adam Lallana could be replaced by skipper Jordan Henderson, who should provide the additional defensive security.

Upfront, there are no selection concerns for Jurgen Klopp with Mohamed Salah and Sadio Mane featuring on the right and left side of the attack while Roberto Firmino should lead the line.

Both Mane and Firmino starred with braces during the recent win over Burnley but Salah needs a big contribution, given he has failed to provide a goal or an assist in the past month.
