Predicted Chelsea lineup vs Aston Villa today

Chelsea host Aston Villa in the Premier League this evening. The Blues have accumulated seven points from three games, and they have the chance to go top with a victory.

Predicted Lineup:

Edouard Mendy is expected to start between the sticks ahead of Kepa Arrizabalaga. He is currently the undisputed goalkeeper for the Premier League and European games.

The back three could witness a solitary change. Andreas Christensen could make way for the return of Thiago Silva. He is set to partner Antonio Rudiger and Cesar Azpilicueta.

No changes are expected in the wing-back positions. Reece James and Marcos Alonso have made key goal contributions early on, and they are expected to keep their places.

In midfield, there will be a compulsory change with N'Golo Kante unfit after a hamstring injury. Summer signing Saul Niguez could be handed his club debut alongside Jorginho.

The attack should resemble the one from recent games. Mason Mount and Kai Havertz are likely to be the attacking pairing behind Romelu Lukaku, who is now the first-choice striker over Timo Werner.

Predicted Chelsea lineup (3-4-2-1): Mendy; Azpilicueta, Silva, Rudiger; James, Saul, Jorginho, Alonso; Havertz, Mount; Lukaku.
