Predicted Chelsea lineup (3-4-2-1) vs Juventus, Silva and Havertz start

How Chelsea could line up against Juventus today

Chelsea face Juventus on the road in tonight's Champions League group stage encounter.

The Blues suffered a disappointing 1-0 loss to Manchester City in the Premier League on Saturday.

The club were poor from the start to the end, failing to register a single shot on target at home.

Thomas Tuchel will want a better response from his players when they face the Bianconeri tonight.

Predicted Lineup:

Edouard Mendy remains the undisputed goalkeeping choice when fit. He showed his class at the weekend with two key saves to deny Jack Grealish from scoring. He is expected to start.

The backline could see a solitary change after the ankle injury sustained by Reece James. Cesar Azpilicueta could move to right wing-back with Marcos Alonso on the other end.

Thiago Silva had a superb outing from the bench against City where he made a crucial goalline clearance. The Brazil is set to partner Andreas Christensten and Antonio Rudiger in the back three.

N'Golo Kante won't take any part in the encounter after testing positive for coronavirus. It should be a straightforward selection in midfield with Jorginho accompanying Mateo Kovacic.

In the attack, there could be starts for Kai Havertz and Hakim Ziyech. Timo Werner failed to impress against the Cityzens where he played in a front two alongside Romelu Lukaku.

The German may have to settle for a bench role. Lukaku has four goals since his homecoming this summer, but has failed to score for three matches. He will be keen to find the back of the net.

Predicted Chelsea lineup (3-4-2-1): Mendy; Christensen, Silva, Rudiger; Azpilicueta, Kovacic, Jorginho, Alonso; Havertz, Ziyech; Lukaku.
