Arsenal make striker decision for January
Arsenal have no plans of recruiting a new centre-forward during the January transfer window, Goal.com claims.
The north London giants currently have Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Alexandre Lacazette as the experienced striker options.
Eddie Nketiah, Gabriel Martinelli and Folarin Balogun can also play in the role, but they have hardly featured over the past few months.
According to Goal.com, Mikel Arteta has no plans of reinforcing the frontline in January despite the uncertain futures of two players.
Lacazette and Nketiah will enter the final six months of their deals in January, but the club are prepared to lose them for free next summer.
The Gunners have yet to identify any striker targets. Dusan Vlahovic has been linked, but he does not fit into the profile wanted by Arteta.
Vlahovic is a traditional striker who operates in and around the box. Arteta prefers a versatile player, who can contribute more defensively.
Aston Villa's Ollie Watkins and Everton's Dominic Calvert-Lewin were linked with the Gunners during the summer transfer window.
