Predicted Chelsea line-up vs Watford today

Chelsea will finish off their Premier League campaign with a home game against Watford this afternoon.

The Blues are assured to finish third in the standings, but will want to end the season on a high with a victory.

Predicted Line-up:

Edouard Mendy has been the regular choice in goal this term, and we fancy him to continue between the sticks against the Hornets despite his inconsistent form. He will be eyeing his 15th clean sheet of the campaign.

In central defence, it could be identical to the previous game with Cesar Azpilicueta and Antonio Rudiger playing either side of Thiago Silva. Rudiger is set to make his final appearance in the club's shirt.

Reece James and Marcos Alonso pretty much pick themselves in the right and left wing-back roles. Alonso scored with a fine volley in midweek from a deft James assist. The Spaniard may be leaving the club this summer.

At the heart of the midfield, Jorginho is set to start and could be partnered by N'Golo Kante despite his poor showing against Leicester. He won just 3 out of eight duels, but remains a 'key player' as per Thomas Tuchel. Mateo Kovacic could be out with an ankle issue.

Further forward, there could be a couple of changes. Mason Mount, who was an unused substitute against the Foxes in midweek, could partner Kai Havertz in attacking midfield. Christian Pulisic and Hakim Ziyech should make way.

Romelu Lukaku has been ineffective in the past two games against Liverpool and Leicester City, but fared well prior to that with three goals in two outings. The Belgium international should lead the line once more.

Predicted Chelsea line-up (3-4-2-1): Mendy; Azpilicueta, Silva, Rudiger; James, Kante, Jorginho, Alonso; Havertz, Mount; Lukaku.
