Predicted Arsenal line-up (4-2-3-1) vs Newcastle, Martinelli dropped
Arsenal will be eyeing a sixth consecutive Premier League win when they host Newcastle United at the Emirates Stadium.
The Gunners were poor against Porto in the first leg of the Champions League round of 16 in midweek where they lost 1-0.
Mikel Arteta will want a strong reply versus the Magpies at home.
Predicted Line-up:
David Raya has been almost ever-present in goal since making his debut in September. He will be eyeing his third straight clean sheet in the Premier League.
In front of him, Ben White, William Saliba, Gabriel Magalhaes and Jakub Kiwior are expected to keep their places in the backline. Kiwior is set to retain his spot with Oleksandr Zinchenko and Takehiro Tomiyasu sidelined.
Declan Rice could have a new midfield partner in the form of Jorginho to provide more defensive stability. Martin Odegaard should be an assured starter from the number 10 position for the north London giants.
In the final third, Bukayo Saka should feature on the right wing as usual. He has been in the form of his life in the Premier League with six goals in his last four appearances in the top-flight for the Gunners.
Kai Havertz could be tasked to lead the line against a physical Magpies defence. This would mean one of Leandro Trossard or Gabriel Martinelli being dropped. It could be the latter who has looked out of form.
Predicted Arsenal line-up (4-2-3-1): Raya; White, Saliba, Gabriel, Kiwior; Jorginho, Rice; Saka, Odegaard, Trossard; Havertz.
