Predicted Arsenal line-up (4-2-3-1) vs Brentford, Lokonga and White start

13 August 2021 - 16:16

Arsenal start their Premier League campaign on the road to Brentford tonight.

  • Chelsea midfielder looking forward to London derby vs Spurs
  • Arsenal in the front row to sign Dutch striker

  • The Gunners have won their opening game in three of the previous four seasons, and they will be favourites against the Bees.

Thomas Frank's side will be eager to impress in front of a packed stadium. They are back in the top-flight after 74 years.

    Formation: 4-2-3-1

    Predicted Line-up:

Bernd Leno has been the Gunners' first-choice goalkeeper for the past few seasons. He is expected to start in the derby.

In defence, Calum Chambers is likely to get the nod over Hector Bellerin at right-back. The latter's future remains uncertain.

Kieran Tierney is expected to slot into the opposite end. Ben White is set for his debut in central defence alongside Pablo Mari.

Gabriel Magalhaes remains sidelined with an ankle injury.

In midfield, Granit Xhaka will take up one of the available places. Thomas Partey won't feature due to an ankle concern of his own.

This should see Albert Sambi Lokonga handed his competitive debut for the Gunners. He should start ahead of Mohamed Elneny.

The attack may be identical to the recent friendly encounters against Chelsea and Tottenham Hotspur during The Mind Series.

Nicolas Pepe, Emile Smith Rowe and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang should make up the attack behind Alexandre Lacazette.

Bukayo Saka played a cameo against Spurs, but he may not be match fit to start the derby tonight. He may feature off the bench.

Predicted Arsenal line-up (4-2-3-1): Leno; Chambers, White, Mari, Tierney; Lokonga, Xhaka; Pepe, Smith Rowe, Aubameyang; Lacazette.
