Predicted Arsenal line-up (4-2-3-1) vs Brighton, Saka starts

17 December 2023 - 13:06

Arsenal will be aiming for three points when they host Brighton & Hove Albion in the Premier League today.

  • Chelsea duo return to partial team training
  • Chelsea planning to sell Sterling to sign Crystal Palace star?

  • The Gunners are currently one point behind leaders Liverpool and have the chance to go to the top before the Reds entertain Manchester United.

    Predicted Line-up:

David Raya has been an undisputed starter in goal for the Gunners since September and he is expected to reclaim his spot from Aaron Ramsdale, who made his Champions League debut in midweek.

In the backline, it should be a straightforward choice.

Ben White and Oleksandr Zinchenko are expected to replace Cedric Soares and Jakub Kiwior in the full-back spots. William Saliba will partner Gabriel Magalhaes in central defence.

Declan Rice will take up the number six role from Jorginho while Mohamed Elneny should also make way. The Egyptian is also on the sidelines after a hamstring injury.

Martin Odegaard should line up in his preferred number 10 role with Kai Havertz in central midfield. Odegaard will be aiming for a strong display after missing key chances at Villa Park.

Bukayo Saka and Gabriel Martinelli are set to replace Reiss Nelson and Leandro Trossard in the wide attacking roles. Gabriel Jesus will lead the line ahead of Eddie Nketiah this afternoon.

Predicted Arsenal line-up (4-2-3-1): Raya; White, Saliba, Gabriel, Zinchenko; Rice, Havertz; Saka, Odegaard, Martinelli; Jesus.
