Predicted Chelsea line-up (3-4-3) vs RB Salzburg

Predicted Chelsea line-up vs RB Salzburg tonight

Chelsea will be aiming to return to winning ways when they host Red Salzburg in the Champions League tonight.

The Blues suffered a disappointing 1-0 loss to Dinamo Zagreb in their Champions League opener, and they can ill-afford another defeat.

New manager Graham Potter has almost a fully fit squad at his disposal. N'Golo Kante and Edouard Mendy remain sidelined with injuries.

Predicted Line-up:

With the continued absence of Mendy with a rib injury, Kepa Arrizabalaga is expected to start between the sticks against Salzburg tonight.

In central defence, it should be the familiar trio of Wesley Fofana, Thiago Silva and Kalidou Koulibaly. The latter needs to step up his performances.

At right wing-back, Reece James should be an undisputed starter.

Ben Chilwell did not do much against Zagreb last week, and Marc Cucurella could come in for the England star in the left wing-back position.

Jorginho and Mateo Kovacic are the Blues' best central midfield pairing in Kante's absence. Potter should back the experienced duo tonight.

The attack could be identical to the Zagreb game with Kai Havertz and Raheem Sterling featuring either side of Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.

Predicted Chelsea line-up (3-4-3): Arrizabalaga; Fofana, Silva, Koulibaly; James, Kovacic, Jorginho, Cucurella; Havertz, Aubameyang, Sterling.
