Predicted Arsenal line-up (4-2-3-1) vs Newcastle United, Saka and Odegaard start
Arsenal will be aiming to extend their seven-point lead at the top of the Premier League table when they host Newcastle United tonight.
The Gunners have won their last five top-flight games, but face a tricky challenge against the Magpies, who are currently third in the standings.
Predicted Line-up:
Aaron Ramsdale has been the Gunners' undisputed pick in goal throughout the Premier League campaign. He will be hoping to keep a clean sheet which has been a rarity at home.
The defence should be identical to the 4-2 win over Brighton & Hove Albion. Ben White and Oleksandr Zinchenko are expected to continue in the right and left-back positions.
William Saliba has been at fault for two goals conceded since the World Cup break, but manager Mikel Arteta should continue to back him to partner Gabriel Magalhaes in central defence.
In midfield, there are no doubts over who will start. Thomas Partey and Granit Xhaka are confirmed to feature. Partey has been an unsung hero this season with his ability to win key duels.
Further forward, it should be the same quartet from the last two league games. Bukayo Saka and Gabriel Martinelli are expected to continue on the right and left wing as usual.
Martin Odegaard has been a revelation lately with six goal contributions in the last three matches. The captain will be eyeing another strong showing from the number 10 position.
Up front, Eddie Nketiah deserves to keep his spot on the back of scoring in successive league matches. He has done exceptionally well in the injury absence of Gabriel Jesus.
Predicted Arsenal line-up (4-2-3-1): Ramsdale; White, Saliba, Magalhaes, Zinchenko; Partey, Xhaka; Saka, Odegaard, Martinelli; Nketiah.
