Predicted Arsenal lineup (4-2-3-1) vs Leicester City, Ramsey and Lacazette start

21 October 2018 - 19:19

Arsenal will be aiming for their 10th victory on the bounce when they entertain Leicester City at the Emirates Stadium on Monday night. The Gunners are presently just outside the top-four positions but they have the opportunity to retain their Champions League spot with a win over the Foxes.

  • Chelsea duo return to partial team training
  • Chelsea planning to sell Sterling to sign Crystal Palace star?

  • Formation: 4-2-3-1

    Predicted Lineup:

Bernd Leno has been the preferred pick between the sticks in recent matches but that has come about due to a hamstring injury for Petr Cech. The German should retain his position on Monday unless Cech passes a late fitness test.

In the defence, Hector Bellerin and Nacho Monreal are certain to keep their positions on the right and left side of the backline but that could be the case in the central defensive department with Rob Holding and Shkodran Mustafi keeping their positions ahead of Sokratis, who remains a doubt with an ankle problem.

Onto the midfield, Unai Emery has settled with the combination of Lucas Torreira and Granit Xhaka in recent weeks and the partnership should most certainly be retained against the Foxes with the former providing the much-needed grit and determination in the centre of the park.

Further forward, Emery is likely to go with the regular personnel through the opening weeks of the campaign and this may witness Henrikh Mkhitaryan, Danny Welbeck and Alex Iwobi dropping to the bench from the Fulham encounter.

In their absence, Aaron Ramsey should get the nod for the number 10 role after his sublime performance from the bench at Craven Cottage while Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Mesut Ozil are genuine candidates to flank him either side. Alexandre Lacazette should undoubtedly lead the line on current form.
