Arsenal will be aiming to return to winning ways in the Premier League when they entertain Liverpool at the Emirates Stadium tonight.

  • Arsenal linked with new shotstopper as backup to Raya
  • Juventus and Roma to battle for 20yo Arsenal star

  • The Gunners are nine points adrift of the top four, but the gap could be reduced to just six after Chelsea's shock 5-3 defeat to West Bromwich Albion.

They have struggled to beat the Reds regularly in the league over the past few years, but were on the winning side at the Emirates last term.

    Formation: 4-2-3-1

    Predicted Line-up:

Bernd Leno is a guaranteed starter between the sticks. He needs to step up after an average display in the 3-3 draw against West Ham United last month.

The backline could see a couple of changes. David Luiz is out injured with a knee issue and he is likely to be replaced by Rob Holding. Gabriel could get the nod over Pablo Mari as the left-footed centre-back partner.

In midfield, there may be an enforced change if Granit Xhaka does not recover from his illness. In this case, we fancy Mohamed Elneny to partner Thomas Partey, considering the duo starred in the triumph at Manchester United earlier this term.

Further forward, Bukayo Saka and Emile Smith Rowe are doubtful to feature with minor injuries. Nicolas Pepe appears likely to feature on the right wing. The Ivorian should be beaming with confidence after a splendid right-footed assist which led to the equaliser against the Hammers.

Martin Odegaard is guaranteed his spot in the number 10 role. Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang should feature on the left wing such that Alexandre Lacazette can lead the line. Lacazette has three goals in seven league meetings against the Reds.

Predicted Line-up (4-2-3-1): Bernd Leno; Calum Chambers, Rob Holding, Gabriel Magalhaes, Kieran Tierney; Thomas Partey, Mohamed Elneny; Nicolas Pepe, Martin Odegaard, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang; Alexandre Lacazette.
