Predicted Chelsea line-up (3-4-2-1) vs Brighton, Werner and Havertz start

Chelsea face Brighton & Hove Albion on the road in tonight's Premier League clash.

  • Chelsea eyeing part-exchange deal to sign Osimhen
  • Chelsea & Arsenal handed blow in Bundesliga striker pursuit

  • The Blues have lost momentum over the past few weeks. They have picked up just one win from the last six league games.

Hence, a title race is pretty much over, and the onus will be on securing a top-four spot for the league campaign.

    Predicted Line-up:

With Edouard Mendy at the African Cup of Nations with Senegal, Kepa Arrizabalaga is expected to continue in goal for the west London giants.

The defence should be identical to the 1-0 defeat at Manchester City. Andreas Christensen remains in isolation after testing positive for Covid.

Trevoh Chalobah is sidelined with a hamstring injury while Ben Chilwell (knee surgery) and Reece James (hamstring) are long-term absentees.

Antonio Rudiger, Thiago Silva and Malang Sarr should occupy the back three with Cesar Azpilicueta and Marcos Alonso in the wing-back roles.

In midfield, there could be a solitary swap with Mateo Kovacic, who was error-prone last weekend, making way for the return of Jorginho.

The Italy international should be accompanied by his regular partner in N'Golo Kante, who is now fully fit after an injury and coronavirus.

There could be a complete reshuffle in attack. Hakim Ziyech, Christian Pulisic and Romelu Lukaku could all drop to the bench tonight.

We fancy Mason Mount to partner Kai Havertz in attack. Timo Werner could be tasked with leading the line. He could interchange with Havertz.

Predicted Chelsea line-up (3-4-2-1): Arrizabalaga; Rudiger, Silva, Sarr; Azpilicueta, Jorginho, Kante, Alonso; Mount, Havertz; Werner.
