Predicted Arsenal lineup vs Brighton & Hove Albion

Arsenal are scheduled to face Brighton & Hove Albion at the Emirates Stadium in their final home game of the campaign.

The Gunners are currently within two points off the fourth position and they face a must-win game against the Seagulls to stay in the Champions League race ahead of the final gameweek of the season.

Formation: 3-4-1-2

Predicted Lineup:

Bernd Leno has been the first-choice goalkeeper for the Premier League duties for most of the season. The German is expected to feature between the sticks ahead of Petr Cech.

In the backline, Emery will most likely stick with the same three-man defence, although a change is expected. Laurent Koscielny could be afforded a rest for the game with Nacho Monreal partnering Sokratis and Shkodran Mustafi in the central defence.

Ahead of them, Carl Jenkinson and Sead Kolasinac are the likely candidates to slot into the right and left wing-back roles respectively. Jenkinson received criticism from the supporters after a below-par showing against Crystal Palace last month, but he is likely to get the nod ahead of Stephan Lichtsteiner in Ainsley Maitland-Niles' absence through suspension.

In the centre of the park, Emery should go with the best combination possible and we are anticipating Lucas Torreira and Granit Xhaka to slot into the roles. Torreira only came off the bench in the midweek European clash and he should be afresh for the Brighton game, where the Gunners cannot afford any lapses with their vulnerability in the final third.

In the attack, we are predicting the same combination from the midweek game. Mesut Ozil should take up the attacking midfield role with Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Alexandre Lacazette featuring ahead of him in a two-striker partnership. Alex Iwobi and Henrikh Mkhitaryan remain available for selection but both players have failed to impress with their end-product in the past few months.
