Arsenal face West Bromwich Albion on the road in Wednesday's League Cup second round tie.

  • Mikel Arteta insists 27yo star won't be leaving Arsenal
  • Omari Hutchinson wants to continue at Ipswich Town

  • The Gunners suffered defeats in the opening two Premier League games, and they will be keen to end the streak.

Hector Bellerin, Alexandre Lacazette and Gabriel could be available for selection after their recent absence. Martin Odegaard appears set to make his second debut for the club.

    Predicted Line-up:

Aaron Ramsdale looks set to make his Gunners debut in goal. Mikel Arteta prefers his back-up keeper for the league games.

Kieran Tierney and Cedric Soares could be rested. The former recently suffered from cramps, and may feature off the bench if needed.

Nuno Tavares could make his full debut on the left side of the backline with Calum Chambers playing in the opposite end.

The centre-back partnership could remain the same with Ben White unavailable due to COVID-19. Gabriel has just returned to training.

Mohamed Elneny could make his first start of the campaign in midfield alongside Granit Xhaka. Albert Lokonga is likely to make way.

A couple of changes are expected in the attack. Nicolas Pepe and Gabriel Martinelli could drop to the bench for the Cup tie.

Bukayo Saka and Emile Smith Rowe can be fancied to feature in the right and left-wing positions. Odegaard should take up his number 10 role.

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang looks set to lead the line ahead of Lacazette, who has had just one training session after a bout of coronavirus.

Predicted Line-up (4-2-3-1): Ramsdale; Chambers, Holding, Mari, Tavares; Elneny, Xhaka; Saka, Odegaard, Smith Rowe; Aubameyang.
