Chelsea entertain Tottenham Hotspur in the Premier League this evening. The Blues are winless in the last four league games, but will fancy their chances of beating Spurs. They got the better of them in both League Cup semi-final ties earlier this month.
Formation: 4-2-2-2
Predicted Line-up:
Kepa Arrizabalaga is set to continue in goal with Edouard Mendy away on AFCON duty. The Spaniard should have done better to prevent Brighton's goal in midweek, and he will be aiming for a better showing.
The defence could be identical to the Seagulls clash. Andreas Christensen and Trevoh Chalobah are back in training, but manager Thomas Tuchel has confirmed that the game will come too soon for him.
Antonio Rudiger and Thiago Silva are expected to start in central defence with Cesar Azpilicueta at right-back. Marcos Alonso has a good record against Spurs, and may get the nod over Malang Sarr at left-back.
There is the temptation to rest either Jorginho or N'Golo Kante for Mateo Kovacic, but the Croatian has been prone to losing possession in key defensive positions lately. No changes are likely in midfield.
Further forward, Mason Mount remains the club's most creative player, and should get the nod alongside Hakim Ziyech, who scored with a superb long-range strike against Graham Potter's side.
Up front, there could be a solitary change with Timo Werner coming in for Callum Hudson-Odoi. Romelu Lukaku has been far from his best, but could be backed to lead the line ahead of Kai Havertz.
Predicted Chelsea line-up (4-2-2-2): Arrizabalaga; Azpilicueta, Silva, Rudiger, Alonso; Jorginho, Kante; Ziyech, Mount; Lukaku, Werner.
