Predicted Arsenal line-up (4-2-3-1) vs Tottenham Hotspur, Saka and Xhaka start
Arsenal host Tottenham Hotspur in the north London derby this afternoon. The Gunners have won the last two league games, and have the opportunity to go level on points with Spurs with another three victory.
Predicted Lineup:
Aaron Ramsdale has established himself as the club's number one since the international break. After back-to-back clean sheets, he is unlikely to drop to the bench.
The defence should be identical from recent games. Takehiro Tomiyasu, Ben White, Gabriel Magalhaes, Kieran Tierney are expected to continue in the backline barring any fitness concerns.
Granit Xhaka is available for selection after a three-match domestic suspension. He is likely to return to the line-up straightaway, partnering Thomas Partey in the centre of the park.
Further forward, Nicolas Pepe appears likely to start on the right wing with his sparkling form this term. Both Emile Smith Rowe and Bukayo Saka have not been at their best in recent weeks.
Smith Rowe was misfiring with his final balls last weekend, and he may have to settle for a bench role. We fancy Saka to slot into the left wing. Martin Odegaard is a definite starter from the number 10 position.
Up front, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang is expected to start ahead of Alexandre Lacazette. The latter has six goal contributions from eight outings against Spurs, and may have a role to play off the bench.
Predicted Arsenal lineup (4-2-3-1): Ramsdale; Tomiyasu, White, Gabriel, Tierney; Partey, Xhaka; Pepe, Odegaard, Saka; Aubameyang.
