Predicted Chelsea line-up (3-4-1-2) vs Leeds United, Jorginho and Werner start

Predicted Chelsea line-up vs Leeds today

Chelsea will be aiming to return to winning ways in the Premier League when they host Leeds United this afternoon.

The Blues recently relinquished their top spot on the table after a 3-2 defeat to West Ham. They have picked up just four points from the last three games.

Predicted Line-up:

Thomas Tuchel made it clear that Edouard Mendy is the number one goalkeeper despite Kepa Arrizabalaga impressing in the 3-3 draw at Zenit in midweek. Mendy will be eyeing his seventh clean sheet of the campaign.

There could be a few changes in defence. Andreas Christensen had a poor outing alongside Malang Sarr against Zenit. Both could drop to the bench with Thiago Silva and Antonio Rudiger returning to the backline.

Reece James played in an unfamiliar midfield role on Wednesday, but it has been confirmed by Tuchel that he will return to his regular right wing-back position. Marcos Alonso looks set to feature on the opposite side.

Both Jorginho and Ruben Loftus-Cheek are carrying minor niggles, but they have been deemed fit to play. The duo are expected to start in midfield. N'Golo Kante and Mateo Kovacic remain sidelined.

Further forward, no changes are expected from Wednesday's draw. Mason Mount should slot in the number 10 role with Romelu Lukaku and Timo Werner playing together up front.

Werner bagged two goals and created another for Lukaku in midweek. Tuchel is likely to entrust the duo to lead the attack with Kai Havertz, Christian Pulisic and Hakim Ziyech settling for bench roles.

Predicted Chelsea line-up (3-4-1-2): Mendy; Azpilicueta, Silva, Rudiger; James, Loftus-Cheek, Jorginho, Alonso; Mount; Werner, Lukaku.
